Terms of Service

Last updated: July 25, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Emeron POS for Android and any related services operated by Emeron Labs, Calicut, India ("we," "us," "our").

By installing or using Emeron POS, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Emeron POS Is

Emeron POS is a cloud-synced Point of Sale and inventory management application for Android devices. It helps retail business owners:

  • Manage product inventory with barcode scanning
  • Process sales with Cash, Card, and UPI payment methods
  • Generate sequential invoices automatically
  • Create and manage deferred customer orders
  • Track sales history with filters, date ranges, and statistics
  • Organise products into dynamic custom categories with emoji icons
  • View business performance at a glance via the dashboard
  • Sync all business data securely to your own Google Drive account

Emeron POS is not a bank, a payment processor, a lender, a tax adviser, or a financial planner. Nothing in Emeron POS constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice. The business decisions you make based on what you see in the app are entirely your own.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Emeron POS, as the app is designed for business operators. If you are under 18, you may only use the app with the active supervision and consent of a parent, guardian, or employer.

By using Emeron POS, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, any business entity you represent.

3. Your Data

Your products, sales records, orders, inventory, and all other business data entered into Emeron POS remain entirely your data. Emeron Labs does not claim any ownership of it.

Your business data is stored locally on your device and automatically synced to your personal Google Drive account. Emeron Labs servers do not receive, store, or have access to your business data at any time. Because of this architecture:

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
  • If you enter the wrong amount, product name, or category, Emeron POS will faithfully save the wrong data.
  • We cannot correct or audit your data on your behalf.
  • Your data in Google Drive persists even if you reinstall the app — it is restored when you sign back in.

For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Emeron POS only for its intended purpose — managing your retail business inventory and processing legitimate sales. You agree not to:

  • Use Emeron POS to record fraudulent transactions, launder money, or facilitate any illegal activity.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
  • Attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with our subscription verification backend or any infrastructure used to deliver Emeron POS.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the app or any of its features.
  • Use the app in any way that violates the Google Play Developer Programme Policies.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Emeron POS Pro features if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

5. Emeron POS Pro Subscription

5.1 Plans and billing

Emeron POS offers an optional Emeron POS Pro upgrade with the following plans:

  • Monthly Plan — billed monthly.
  • Annual Plan — billed annually at a discounted rate.

All subscriptions are purchased directly within the app and processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Emeron Labs never sees your card number, CVV, bank details, or any sensitive payment credentials — these are handled entirely by Razorpay.

Your subscription status is verified on each app launch using the Razorpay payment reference stored in our backend. You can manage your subscription from Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app.

5.2 Refunds

Refund requests are handled directly by Emeron Labs. To request a refund, contact us at emeronlabs@gmail.com within 7 days of your purchase. Refunds are processed at our discretion based on the circumstances and usage at the time of request.

5.3 What Pro unlocks

The specific features included in Emeron POS Pro are listed inside the app and may evolve over time. We may add, change, or remove features without notice, provided we don't materially reduce the core value of an active subscription. If we ever do materially reduce it, we'll give you reasonable notice and an option to cancel.

5.4 Price changes

We may change subscription prices for future renewals with at least 30 days' notice. You will be notified via in-app message and email before any price change takes effect. You may cancel your subscription before renewal to avoid the new price.

6. Google Drive Storage & Data Responsibility

Important: Your business data is synced to your personal Google Drive. If you permanently delete it from your Drive or revoke app access, we cannot recover it.

Emeron POS stores all business data locally on your Android device and syncs it automatically to a private app folder in your Google Drive. This means:

  • If you reinstall the app on the same or a new device and sign in with the same Google account, your data is fully restored from Google Drive.
  • If you clear the app's local data, your Google Drive copy is unaffected and will re-sync on next launch.
  • If you permanently delete data from your Google Drive or delete the Emeron POS app folder, that data is permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us.
  • If you revoke Google Drive access, local data remains on your device but will not sync until access is restored.

We strongly recommend keeping your Google Drive access active and ensuring sufficient storage is available. You are responsible for maintaining your Google account in good standing. We recommend using the Export feature in Settings → Export periodically as an additional local backup.

7. Camera & Device Permissions

Emeron POS requires camera access to power the built-in barcode scanner. The camera is used exclusively within the app for product lookup and stock entry. No images or video are ever stored or transmitted.

You may revoke camera permission at any time. The app will continue to function without it; only barcode scanning will be unavailable.

We do not access any other device permissions (contacts, location, microphone, etc.) beyond what is required for the barcode scanner to function.

8. Disclaimers

Emeron POS is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

We don't warrant that:

  • Emeron POS will be available without interruption or error.
  • Bugs or errors will be fixed within a particular timeframe.
  • The app will be compatible with every Android device or OS version.
  • Sales figures, statistics, or reports displayed in the app are free from computation errors arising from the data you entered.

Sales data, inventory figures, and reports generated by Emeron POS are based entirely on the data you enter. The accuracy of business insights depends on the accuracy of your input. Emeron POS is a tool to help you track your business — it is not an accounting system and should not replace professional bookkeeping or tax advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to Emeron POS is limited to the greater of:

  • (a) the amount you paid us for Emeron POS Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
  • (b) ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees one thousand).

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (iii) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Indian law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Emeron POS at any time by uninstalling the app. To cancel your Pro subscription, go to Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app or contact us at emeronlabs@gmail.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Pro features if you materially breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue Emeron POS entirely, we'll give you reasonable advance notice and a window in which to export your data via Settings → Export.

Upon termination, your Google Drive data remains in your Google Drive and is not deleted by us. Your local app data is cleared when you uninstall. We do not remotely wipe either.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by:

  • Updating the date at the top of this page.
  • Posting the revised Terms at this URL.
  • Surfacing an in-app notice on next app launch where the change is significant.

Continued use of Emeron POS after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to Emeron POS or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala, India.

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at emeronlabs@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally. We'll do our best to respond within 5 business days.
